Mission Statement
The purpose of NewLife Christian Adoptions shall be to provide a means by which children can be placed in the homes of loving, Christian families through the process of adoption. Adhering to the belief that God is the Creator of all life, the agency believes that every child should be afforded the opportunity to live in a family, which exemplifies the love of Christ.
NewLife Christian Adoptions believes that children are a heritage of the Lord and that God is the Giver of Life. Within the framework of this Christian belief, NewLife Christian Adoptions seeks to allow young women facing unplanned pregnancies the opportunity to place their child with families seeking to commit their love and their lives to raising that child as an alternative to other options.
How We Began
NewLife Christian Adoptions has a rich and solid Christian heritage. In 1909, Falcon Children's Home, Inc., formerly Falcon Orphanage, opened its doors to receive needy children. Located in Falcon, North Carolina, this home has served the needs of thousands of abused, abandoned, neglected, deserted and orphaned children for over 91 years.
In 1990, Falcon Children's Home expanded its ministry outreach by launching the Alternative To Abortion Ministries, Inc. (ATAM Inc.) This new outreach had as its goal the development of a "network" of ministries that would provide a genuine alternative to abortion for young women experiencing unplanned pregnancies. ATAM’s first ministry endeavor was opening The Royal Home-Salemburg in 1992. This home is a fully licensed maternity home for six young women and is located in Salemburg, North Carolina. In 1999, ATAM began its second ministry with the opening of a fully licensed adoption agency, NewLife Christian Adoptions, with offices located in Garner, North Carolina. ATAM continues to prayerfully pursue God’s will for this ministry. Current plans are underway to assist in opening a crisis pregnancy center in a non-serviced area in North Carolina.
These ministry outreaches have been brought about by the combined, cooperative efforts of The International Pentecostal Holiness Church (Headquartered in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma), Falcon Children's Home and ATAM Inc. Because of God's blessings, NewLife Christian Adoptions is making a difference in the lives of birth families, children and adoptive families.
